Today's Scripture

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Reflection

The pursuit of spiritual growth is a lifelong journey, one that requires dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to be transformed by God's glory. As we behold the glory of the Lord, we are changed into His image, reflecting His character and nature to a world in need of hope and redemption.

This transformation is not instantaneous, but rather a gradual process that occurs as we surrender to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It is a process that requires us to be still, to listen, and to obey the promptings of God's Spirit, even when it is difficult or uncomfortable.

As we reflect God's glory, we become beacons of hope in a world that is often shrouded in darkness. Our lives become a testament to the transformative power of God's love, and we are able to point others to the source of our hope and redemption. This is a profound privilege, one that carries with it a great responsibility to live our lives in a manner that honors God and reflects His glory.

In order to reflect God's glory, we must be willing to surrender our own desires and ambitions, and to allow God to shape our lives according to His purposes. This requires a deep level of trust and faith, as well as a willingness to surrender to the unknown. But as we do, we will find that our lives are transformed in profound ways, and that we are able to reflect God's glory to a world in need of hope and redemption.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask that You would transform our lives by Your glory, and that we would reflect Your character and nature to a world in need of hope and redemption. Give us the courage to surrender to Your will, and to trust in Your goodness, even when the path ahead is uncertain.

Practice Today

  • Spend time in prayer and reflection, asking God to reveal areas of your life where you need transformation
  • Study Scripture, seeking to understand God's character and nature, and how you can reflect His glory in your life
